If your ears feel blocked, or your hearing seems muffled, a build-up of earwax may be the cause. Our private earwax removal service at Easthampstead Pharmacy starts with a consultation, so we can look inside your ears and check whether treatment is needed. If it is, we will book you in for microsuction on one ear or both.
What happens
At your first appointment we examine your ears and talk through your symptoms. If wax is present and removal is suitable, we arrange a follow-up appointment for microsuction.
Microsuction uses a fine suction device to lift the wax gently from the ear canal, under close observation. No water is used to flush the ear.
Before your treatment, we will give you advice on how to prepare. This may include softening the wax in the days beforehand, which can make removal easier and more comfortable. Please follow the guidance our team gives you.
